Lynda is Melbourne born, living on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula and now retired from her day job in banking, She was fortunate enough to attend art lessons with renowned Port Albert artist, Warren Curry in 2005. She then travelled to Corfu in Greece on a painting trip with Warren and a group of artists in 2006. That was it ... she was hooked.
A member of the Peninsula Arts Society and the Friday Painters, Lynda has painted with VicArt's highly accomplished artist Meg Davoren-Honey OAM VAS. She has contributed to exhibitions at the Stonnington Town Halls in both Malvern and Prahran. She has also exhibited and sold paintings at Breslin Cafe Gallery in Carnegie, St Kevin's College Art Show, Camberwell Art Show, Mornington and Sorrento Rotary Art Shows.
In 2012 she attended a workshop with talented artist Jud Keresztesi and developed a fascination with painting contemporary landscapes and seascapes. This is now her passion and she is looking forward to continuing to exhibit at art shows on the Mornington Peninsula and in Melbourne.
Lynda's inspirations come from her travels, both overseas and from within Australia and from photographs from family and friends. Strong colour and texture are a signature of her paintings, particularly strong sapphires and the ochre colours of the Australian Kimberley area.
