But also because the koala and their habitat have been So devastated lately to the point of almost being wiped out. He looks like he is standing off the canvas... just as l had hoped! With koalas being so endangered at the moment this Painting means a lot to me it had to be just right.

Hi I am Rhonda Owen

My Parents came from England to Outback Queensland were l was born.

We moved to Melbourne when l was still a baby.

l am a Self taught Artist. My inspiration comes from nature and all it’s wildlife. I love realism and to use Acrylic paint with very fine detail and Love to use lots of different surfaces to paint on but my favourite is the gorgeous linen canvas ...the texture the feel the beauty of these
Canvases brings an extra dimension to some of my pieces they just wouldn’t other wise have.
When l am Traveling l can’t get to my paint or sketch pad quick enough to put down all the amazing animals or nature that inspires me
to paint.

It effects my Art in so many different ways.

It has been many years of Learning and l hope to always learn and improve one's self .

The last four or Five years l have participated in many Exhibitions and self improvement.

I have exhibited and had a solo exhibition with Red Gum Gallery in Olinda.

Over the last few years I have exhibitied at Arvy's Gallery in Olinda at Malvern Art Society.

I have finished a course in drawing Nature and Natural history illustration in which

l received a certificate of Achievement Newcastle University Nov 2018.

l have had 4 of my artworks published in a Art book brushes with life Nov 2018.
